The Lincoln Highway by Motor CoachWes HammondThe Motor Transit Company was probably one of the earliest bus companies to use the Lincoln Highway in California. Their vehicles were White Motor Company passenger cars, extended to carry seven passengers and a driver. En route between San Francisco and Los Angeles, they used the Lincoln Highway between Oakland and Manteca. The text on the opposite side of this brochure refers to a "war tax," indicating that it is of a 1917-18 vintage.
