Bernie Queneau visits Lincoln Highway mural featuring himself
Bernard and Esther Queneau recently visited Frankfort, Illinois to see the village’s Lincoln Highway mural. It features four Eagle Scouts on their road trip across the Lincoln Highway in 1928, including a 16-year-old Bernie.

Historic gas station in Geneva, IL to be preserved
The historic Pure Oil gas station building in Geneva, Illinois will be preserved by its current owner. Its service bays will be converted into drive-through lanes for a bank. The owner’s previous plans for tearing down the building had been rejected by the city.
