NJ-PA Lincoln Highway bridge turns 150

The Calhoun Street Bridge, linking Morrisville, Pennsylvania and Trenton, New Jersey, turns 150 years old this year. The Lincoln Highway went over this bridge.

Replica apple truck to be put on display next to LH

Students from Franklin County Career and Technology Center are building a replica 1920 Selden apple truck, the kind used frequently almost a century ago in agricultural Franklin County.

According to Janet Pollard of Franklin County Visitors’ Bureau, the 1.5 scale truck, when complete, will be displayed somewhere along U.S. 30 as part of the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor’s Heritage Giants project.

VIP Premiere of Lincoln Highway documentary in Sewickley, Pennsylvania

Rick Sebak’s latest PBS documentary, “A Ride Along the Lincoln Highway” will debut nationally Oct. 29.

Sebak, of WQED-TV, will host a VIP premiere Oct. 18 at the Sewickley Car Store, which sits along the original route of the Lincoln Highway, the nation’s first coast-to-coast highway.
